Design & Identity
Like many others, KHVS is a design studio based in Zurich, Switzerland – which throws itself into commissions and projects in Switzerland and beyond the country's borders. Its typographic systems and identities are used, for example, by Hotel MOND in Sri Lanka, Ortsmuseum Rüschlikon and Yumbo Soda in Melbourne. Time and again, the work also takes it to New York and LA.
The studio's work is characterized by straightforwardness, interest in typography, matierals and an ever-flashing mischievousness.
In addition to graphic design work, KHVS is involved in design-related projects.
URBAN LEMONADE – founded with Uncle Urban and designer Jalscha Römer – is a beverage brand that produces and distributes its own contemporary drinks.
MOCKUP.MAISON – founded with Michael Kennedy – provides visually appealing mockups and helps designers around the world make their presentation look good.
This website is a more or less current and rather less complete archive of his work.

Identity & print for local museum
MOND is a small boutique hotel on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The four-room hotel overlooks the rough rocks, palm trees and the ocean. The concrete structure was designed by the Swiss architects Abraha & Achermann and built by locals. Clean lines are complemented by tropical elements and materials.
The branding system refers to similar values – the clear typography is complemented with tropical textures, a rich colour palette and photographs.
Complementary to the visual identity, spaces and objects were designed. The hotel’s shop and rooms were equipped with a specifically designed shelving system made of local rattan. Ceramic clothes hangers can be found in the bathrooms and the inner courtyard was covered with a huge fabric dyed with classic batik techniques and wax-painting. The main entry sign was produced locally from ceramic in collaboration with Jessica Fernando and is directly attached to the exposed concrete walls. The rest of the signae-system was laser-cut out of brushed stainless steel.

Visual identity for my brother Sven Högger, architecture photographer based in Geneva. The design is based on a beautiful monospace Typeface by Samara Keller and abstract levels of architectural objects.
